Peter Miles has over twenty-five years experience in management development and training. He has a reputation for professionalism, for getting to understand his client's business and running innovative training events. He also has a genuine and sincere interest in the people he works with.
He combines a practical and business focussed approach with a strong sense of values. Peter Miles has worked as a self-employed consultant for nearly 20 years after managerial experience in retail and high technology companies. He has an MSc in Management from Warwick Business School.
PGM specialises in developing programmes designed to meet carefully identified needs. The focus is on the business context, enhanced performance, and sustained change. Often these programmes are piloted and then handed over to the client organisation. This often involves working with in-house trainers and management development specialists, helping them build new skills and use new approaches to training and development.
In the last four years, he has been involved in the development of e-learning in a number of settings. He works with e-learning facilitators to develop their online skills and manages several e-learning environments.
In 2000, he completed a major evaluation study of a NHS Management Development Programme in conjunction with the Centre for Health Services Studies at Warwick Business School and De Montfort University.
